Description:

Tumble Tree Tournament is a vertical platformer for mobile. In the game 4 players compete against each other in heated real-time battles with the goal of being the last man standing. 


Players have to skillfully navigate across platforms upwards through the map, while dodging hazards, and activating traps to crush their opponents.

My Contribution:

During this project I had to take on a lot of lead roles (design lead, character feature lead). Also, it was the first time I did coding for the group project (animation implementation). 

Lead

At first I was a design lead, but after team formation became character feature lead. My responsibilities for both roles included:

  • Knowing what everyone is up to and the progress on department/feature at any point of time

  • Making decisions in case of conflicting opinions in department/feature team

  • Identifying development problems and solving them together with assigned team ​

Animation Implementation

Implemented animations for character:

  • Idle

  • Walking

  • Jumping

  • Falling

  • Death (Additional Particles)

Research and Brainstorming
Did extensive research on other games' mechanics and did brainstorming on many various concepts. 

Our game encountered the problem of controls. I did research on other mobile games and looked into how they implemented control schemes. You can see the results of research in the documents section below.

Created a document with a detailed breakdown and description of all the mechanics our game has. You can see it in the document section below.
